Tom Watson and Padraig Harrington previewed the final round of The Open For The Ages and shared their memories of St Andrews in our latest podcast, available to listen to and watch now.
In a special episode of The Open Podcasts to mark The Open For The Ages, in association with HSBC, five-time Champion Golfer of the Year Watson and two-time Champion Golfer Harrington were joined by the BBC’s Iain Carter and Chris Solomon, better known as Soly from the ‘No Laying Up’ podcast.
The panel spoke at length about The Open For The Ages, and provided incredible insight on the many wonders of The Old Course and the mentality of a Champion Golfer.
The quartet were also invited to predict a winner of The Open For The Ages, a celebratory edition of The Open that will conclude with a three-hour broadcast from 11am BST on Sunday.
The innovative event will use real archive footage from past Championships at St Andrews to recreate the drama of an Open final round, and all of our podcast guests are looking forward to seeing who comes out on top.
