Located in the heart of Ayrshire's golf coast, Dundonald Links is a spectacular venue that has recently hosted both the men's and women's Scottish Opens, becoming the first course to stage both events in the same year in 2017.
The original layout was designed by Willie Fernie, the Champion Golfer of 1883, and opened in 1911, yet the site was left almost unrecognisable after the course was commandeered by the army during World War II.
Following the purchase of Dundonald Links by Loch Lomond Golf Club in 2003, California-based architect Kyle Phillips was tasked with creating a world-class modern links at the historic venue.
The new-look Dundonald has gone on to welcome a series of prestigious events, including the R&A Boys' Amateur Championship in 2014. It is the current host of the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open.
Four players earned Open debuts through Final Qualifying at Dundonald in 2024, with Sam Hutsby, Angel Hidalgo, Liam Nolan and Jack McDonald booking their places in The 152nd Open at Royal Troon.
