Qualification

There are a number of ways players can qualify for The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush.

The panels below provide further information on exemption categories for the Championship, which are reviewed each year to ensure that pathways are available for golfers around the world, and the events that form part of the Open Qualifying Series.

You can also find more information on our Regional Qualifying and Final Qualifying events, which are open to professional and amateur golfers worldwide who meet the entry criteria, and will take place at venues around Great Britain and Ireland in June and July ahead of the Championship.
