John Deere Classic

Davis Thompson and CT Pan qualified for The 152nd Open at Royal Troon following their stand-out performances at the John Deere Classic.

Played at TPC Deere Run, the John Deere Classic was the penultimate event in the Open Qualifying Series.

With six birdies on his final-round front nine, it is perhaps no surprise that it was won by Thompson – who set a new tournament low score of 256 (28-under-par) to finish four shots clear – for his maiden PGA TOUR victory.

CT Pan finished T2 on 24-under-par alongside Michael Thorbjornsen and amateur Luke Clanton. Pan took the second Open qualifying place on offer thanks to his higher position in the Official World Golf Ranking.
