The 150th Open Claret Jug Tour, in partnership with HSBC UK, got underway on Wednesday at Hazelbury Primary School in Edmonton, London.
Twenty-five children from years 5 & 6 joined in an HSBC Golf Roots coaching session led by Golf Foundation ambassador and PGA professional Nicola Bennett.
Claret Jug Tour ambassador, Sandy Lyle, who famously won The Open at Royal St George’s in 1985, joined in the session alongside HSBC ambassador and Australian rugby legend George Gregan.
Following the school visit, The Claret Jug Tour made its way to the HSBC branch in Canary Wharf where it was on display to customers and available for photo opportunities.
The day ended inside HSBC UK headquarters, with Lyle and Gregan conducting meet and greets with staff and visitors.
The iconic trophy will visit Birmingham on Thursday and Friday before The 150th Open Claret Jug Tour, in partnership with HSBC UK, arrives in Liverpool over the weekend.
