Davis Thompson and CT Pan qualified for The 152nd Open at Royal Troon following their stand-out performances at the John Deere Classic.
Played at TPC Deere Run, the John Deere Classic was the penultimate event in the Open Qualifying Series.
With six birdies on his final-round front nine, it is perhaps no surprise that it was won by Thompson – who set a new tournament low score of 256 (28-under-par) to finish four shots clear of the field – for his maiden PGA TOUR victory.
CT Pan finished T2 on 24-under-par alongside Michael Thorbjornsen and amateur Luke Clanton. Pan took the second Open qualifying place on offer thanks to his higher position in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Meanwhile, European quintet Jesper Svensson, Laurie Canter, Nacho Elvira, Matteo Manassero and Ewen Ferguson [above] also made it to Troon via the Race to Dubai rankings, following the completion of the 2024 BMW International, which was won by Ferguson.
Three more Open spots are available at the Genesis Scottish Open, which takes place at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick this week.
The Open will be staged at Royal Troon for the tenth time, between 18-21 July.
