KOLON Korea Open

Minkyu Kim and Younghan Song have qualified for The 152nd Open at Royal Troon through the Kolon Korea Open presented by ELORD.

It was the eighth event in the Open Qualifying Series and took place at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.

Kim’s 11-under-par total was enough to secure his second win in the Korea Open after lifting the trophy at the same venue in 2022.

Meanwhile, a last-gasp birdie on the 72nd hole led to Song snatching the second qualifying place on eight-under-par, one shot ahead of Yubin Jang and Kyungnam Kang.

Kim’s only previous appearance in golf’s original major came at The 150th Open at St Andrews in 2022.

Song featured in The Open at Royal Birkdale in 2017 when he finished in a tie for 62nd place.
