The R&A is reimagining The Open experience, giving fans innovative new ways to attend golf’s original Championship.
A new range of experiences, both on and off the course, will allow fans to witness The Open like never before when the Championship returns to Royal Birkdale in 2026.
Fans will now be able to guarantee their place at next year’s Open prior to the ticket ballot this summer.
Designed following extensive surveys and focus groups, The Open Experiences represent a new era for the fan experience at The Open.
These packages will deliver fans with better access and experiences than ever before.
The Open Experiences span a new range of ticket types from Select, our ticket plus product, to fully-inclusive hospitality experiences in luxurious surroundings.
The Signature experience comes with exclusive access to behind-the-scenes experiences – including photo opportunities with the Claret Jug and Q&A sessions with players past and present. Signature guests also have access to the best views in the house with a reserved grandstand seat on the 18th and entry to the luxurious Clarets restaurant, overlooking the 17th green, with fully inclusive hospitality.
Platinum provides various on-course experiences, viewing areas, and fully inclusive hospitality in our new triple-decker, Dunes House, as well as the Platinum Lounge, so you can enjoy The Open your way. This ticket package also comes with access to The Retreat Champagne lounge.
Premium gives access to the Dunes House where fans can enjoy a curated selection of gourmet dishes from its restaurants and bars. From here you’ll be perfectly positioned to experience every thrilling moment of the Championship drama.
Select is for those who want more from their day at The Open. This experience provides access to a viewing platform next to the par-3 4th green and entry to a private area with covered seating, gourmet food trucks where you can spend your included food voucher, and a big screen showing all the action.
Our Classic general admission tickets will be released through public ballot later this year.
Destination Packages, our new ticket-inclusive travel and accommodation packages, are also available for The Open for the first time ever.
Fans will be able to enjoy a range of ticket or hospitality inclusive accommodation packages, from camping to luxury hotels, plus the option to add tee times to your package and additional extras to enhance your experience.
These packages provide even more opportunity to watch the world’s greatest golfers up close as they compete for the Claret Jug, and they have been carefully designed to appeal to a wide audience of golf and sports fans.
