Louis Oosthuizen on the 18th hole

What a Moving Day at The Open, setting up a superb final round. Explore the Nikon Image Gallery here.

Early in the day there was beautiful sunshine and packed crowds, including some very excited fans. There was also a healthy reminder of Royal St George's proximity to the sea with a seagull providing an excellent photo-bomb!

Meanwhile, it didn't quite happen for Rory McIlroy, but Jon Rahm and Paul Casey put together good rounds, and struck some wonderful shots in the process.

The morning wave

Later in the day however, fans were treated to a brilliant display by a number of golfers. Louis Oosthuizen had a late birdie to retain the lead he has held throughout the Championship, while Collin Morikawa eyed up the Claret Jug early on.

Corey Conners shot a great round, and Jordan Spieth was looking good at the same time, before falling away with two bogeys in his last two holes, to make his final round task a little trickier. The shadows were long on the 18th though as he and his caddie undertook the greatest walk in golf.
