Earned his second straight start in The Open by making it all the way through the FedEx Cup play-offs to the Tour Championship in August, part of a climb into the sport’s top 40 even though he has yet to record his first PGA Tour victory.

Last season, Schenk was runner-up to Taylor Moore in the Valspar Championship and lost a play-off to Emiliano Grillo in the Charles Schwab Challenge, then a week later his joint-seventh place at the Memorial Tournament was good enough to take one of the three Open Qualifying Series spots on offer to non-exempt players.

Initially played on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica and Web.com Tour after turning professional in 2015, then led with a round to play at the 2021 Shriners Children’s Open.

On his first two major championship appearances in 2022, he tied for 24th at the US Open and 41st at the PGA.

Played college golf at Purdue University, capturing two titles as a freshman. Grew up on a sod and grain farm which grows corn, beans, wheat and three types of grass which his family sell to local golf courses.
