At the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy world amateur team championship he was not only part of the side that lifted the title by an astonishing 19 strokes, but also the individual winner by two over team-mate Curtis Luck.
He turned professional the same year and the following November captured the Emirates Australian Open by one from Jonas Blixt and Matt Jones, starting the week with a 63 and closing with a 64. It qualified him for an Open debut at Carnoustie, where he tied for 39th.
His maiden PGA Tour success came at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic, triumphing on the fifth extra hole after a tie with Joaquin Niemann and Troy Merritt.
International team captain Trevor Immelman handed him a wild card into the 2022 Presidents Cup and he had wins alongside Si-woo Kim and Adam Scott.
