Jordan Smith captured his first DP World Tour title by beating Alexander Levy in a play-off for the 2017 Porsche European Open.
Two weeks later he played the first major of his career and finished a superb joint-ninth in the PGA Championship.
In 2022, Smith followed up runner-up finishes at the Ras al Khaimah Championship and the MyGolfLife Open, where he was in a play-off with Spaniards Pablo Larrazabal and Adri Arnaus, by winning the Portugal Masters by three. This was secured with a spectacular 30-under-par total which included two rounds of 62 and a closing 63.
He was a winner of the English amateur stroke play at Formby in 2013, the year in which he also represented Britain and Ireland at the Walker Cup in America. He then topped the PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit to earn himself a Challenge Tour card.
Smith progressed to the main circuit and just missed out on a third Tour title in 2023, finishing joint runner-up at the French Open, before earning two more second place finishes last season.
